With her distinctive high-stepping gait that earned her the nickname "our prancing pony," she brings elegance and joy to everything she does. But don't let that refined movement fool you - Daisy is all heart and personality.
A Sweet Soul with Standards
Daisy has the typical Havanese loving nature, showering affection on everyone she meets. Well, almost everyone. George, one of our other dogs, seems to be her special project. She's taken it upon herself to teach him proper manners, and we've learned to trust her judgment. Daisy has an intuitive understanding of pack dynamics and isn't afraid to step in when someone needs guidance.
Edwin's Best Friend
The bond between Daisy and our son Edwin is something truly special. Every single night, you'll find them curled up together on his bed - Daisy having claimed her spot as his devoted companion and protector. This nightly ritual has created an unbreakable friendship that demonstrates the incredible loyalty and love these dogs bring to families.
From Champion to Foundation
Daisy comes from exceptional bloodlines, sharing her litter with Jak, and her show career reflected that quality breeding. She finished her championship with ease, displaying the movement, temperament, and conformation that judges love to see in the ring. But Daisy had other plans for her future.
After achieving her title, she gracefully retired from showing to take on a role that's equally important to our breeding program - becoming a foundation pack member. Sometimes the most valuable dogs are the ones who teach and guide the next generation, and Daisy embraced this responsibility wholeheartedly.
The School Ma'am
Around our kennel, Daisy has naturally assumed the role of "school ma'am." She's the dog who keeps everyone in line, teaches puppies proper behavior, and maintains the peaceful harmony that makes our pack work so well together. Her gentle but firm approach to correction shows the intelligence and sensitivity that makes Havanese such wonderful family companions.
A Gentle Giant (Well, Gentle Small Dog)
Perhaps one of Daisy's most endearing qualities is her incredible gentleness with other animals. She will sit patiently for as long as our cat will tolerate it, carefully cleaning and grooming him with the dedication of a professional spa attendant. Watching this sweet interaction never gets old – it perfectly captures Daisy's nurturing, loving nature.
Daisy represents everything we love about this breed - beauty, brains, loyalty, and that special ability to form deep bonds with both humans and other dogs. She may have retired from the show ring, but she continues to be a champion in all the ways that matter most.
